Established nearly 40 years ago, Charm City OB-GYN has been a trusted and integral part of the Towson community and beyond. Founded in 1985 by Drs. Ruthann Zern and MaryAnn Facciolo at St. Joseph Medical Center, the practice grew with the addition of Dr. Monica Buescher in 1989 and Dr. Tracy Duke in 1997, when the group adopted the name Charm City OB-GYN. Though Drs. Zern, Facciolo, and Buescher have since retired, their legacy lives on in the values our team upholds.

Dr. Michael Giudice joined in 2007. In the years that followed, we welcomed Dr. Lawrence Fogelson (2013), Dr. Meredith Nachbahr (2015), and certified midwife Nancy Zelnik (2016). Dr. Eshanjit Sapra joined in 2018, followed by Dr. Sofia Candel in 2021 and nurse practitioner Laura Rossbach in 2024.

In 2025, we expanded services to include Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) for obstetrics and gynecology, while continuing gynecology care at University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center. This growth allows us to better serve patients with greater flexibility and access across the region. As part of Capital Women’s Care, we proudly combine the strength of a leading regional women’s health network with the personalized, community-focused care that has defined us for decades. We care for women at every stage of life—from the teen years through pregnancy, menopause, and beyond—offering compassionate, evidence-based care rooted in clinical excellence. Our longstanding relationships with generations of patients reflect the trust we’re honored to uphold every day.
